Hi!  I'm a social worker who has a private practice in Western New York.  My
office is in a quaint little bungalow behind my home, and I have created the
environment there that I find most therapeutic, with soft music, candles, and
a generally comfortable environment.  I believe that we all can benefit from
understanding ourselves better, and find this setting conducive for all to do
so.  I got my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from SUNY at
Buffalo.  Prior to getting my Master's degree in 1983, I worked as a public
health and medical social worker.  After 1983, I did  counseling of
individuals and couples in a mental health clinic.  Although this was
satisfying, I wanted to be on my own, and did so, starting my own private
practice in 1991.  I am trained developmentally, but encorporate many other
therapies as appropriate.  I am thrilled that my business has been
successful.  I get much personal satisfaction out of being instrumental in
people's growth.  My clients always know that I value them, and am invested
in their success.

Personally, I am the mother of 2 bright, intense adolescents.  My husband and
I have been busy maintaining and improving our property, and I have thus
developed the hobby of gardening.  I also enjoy bird-watching, singing, and
crocheting.  My interest in the internet, and my relative isolation as a
therapist led me to begin this delightful group.  All the wonderful women in
PSN have meant so much to me.  We support each other professionally and
personally, which is quite integral in this field.

Well, enough about me.  I hope all of you who stop by to read this consider
looking inward.  It is life-changing, to understand what makes you tick, and
be able to learn to choose paths that are the most productive in your life.
Sometimes we can't see our choices.  Therapy can be an exciting adventure in
which you can learn to live your life unencumbered of the burdens from your
history.  Best of success to you all!
